Roger Allen Gossett, 46, of Leicester, died Sunday, November 30, 2014, at the St. Joseph Campus, Mission Hospital. Born November 13, 1968 in Buncombe Co., he was a son of Carl James and Jo Ann Brown Gossett. He was a mechanic with the North Carolina Department of Transportation for over fourteen years. He was a loving father. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Tammy Parrott Gossett; a daughter, Jessica Michelle Shelton and her husband, Kyle; a son, Tyler Andrew Gossett; and a brother, Stacy James Gossett and his wife, Vickie. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with the Revs. Charles Phillips and Ricky Wolfe officiating. Interment will follow in the Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Revelation 21:3,4 speaks of death being no more.
