We were so shocked and sorry to read of Ron’s passing. We are wondering what we will do for barbeque sauce without him since he made the only sauce that we really liked. Please know that yoour family will be in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Ronnie,
I was so sorry to hear of the passing your father. I know that you were best buddies so I’m sure that it is really difficult. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
Dear Ron Weathers Family,
My heartfelt condolences and prayers go out to each one of you in this time of deep, deep loss. Your dear loved one, Ron Weathers, was one of life’s great gentlemen, a true original. He certainly made an indelible impression on my life. I loved him like I would a brother, and will always cherish the memory of the years we worked together at Crossroads. I regret that I didn’t see him too much after that.
A song I composed around the time of my father’s passing in 1996 says, and it applies:
Old friend, old friend
Our love will never end
We scaled the rocky heights
Sailed the starry nights
In you my heart delights
Old Friend
Old friend, Old friend
Like Captain Cloud we raced the wind
You held me in your arms
My shelter in the storms
My rose among the thorns
Old Friend
You’ll always be, dear to me
As near to me as my own heart
We take love, we make love
But the love that lives, is the love one gives
Old friend, old friend
Some fools say dying is the end
But this is not goodbye, with Jesus you’re alive
I’ll meet you in the sky
Old Friend
Rest in peace safe in the arms of Jesus, Ron Weathers, dear old friend.
Love in Christ,
Jim Stover
