Asheville Butterfly TrailRosemarie Fedrowitz Harrington, 85, passed away Monday, June 30, 2025 at her residence.
Mrs. Harrington was born in Vienenburg, Germany to the late Waldemar and Elisabeth Bayer Fedrowitz. She met and married David, her husband of 62 years when he was stationed in Germany. They set up homes in Texas, New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Tehran, Iran; moving some 15 times until his Army retirement in Virginia. There, she worked as a personal secretary, until she opened up her own business as a garden designer. During this time she raised two boys, Fredrick Sean and Erik B. Harrington.
Following David’s civilian retirement from the computer systems business, they moved to the hills of Haywood, NC, and finally to Arden, NC.
