Asheville ~ Rudolph Anthony Milin, 85, of Asheville died on Monday, November 13, 2006. He was born, June 26, 1921 in Hoboken, New Jersey and was the son of the late John and Antoinette Zimka Milin. He was preceded in death by his sister, Florence Butters. He was a graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology and was a mechanical engineer with Alcoa with over 30 years of service. He was a US Navy Veteran serving during WW II. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sophia Pierce Milin of Asheville; two daughters, Janice Milin and husband Donald E. Baker both of Asheville and Nancy Milin and husband William Walker both of Santa Cruz, CA; a grandson, Matthew E. Baker of Columbus, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM on Thursday at St. Barnabas Catholic Church with Reverend Father Dean Cesa and Deacon Art Kingsley officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7:00-8:30 PM at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian.
