Ruth Brackett Wright

Ruth Brackett Wright, 93, passed away on Tuesday, May 28 in Randleman, NC, where she has lived with her daughter Marian for the past nine years.

Ruth was the daughter of the late Robert Gaston Brackett and Estelle Townsand Brackett. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Dempsey Wright Sr. and one son, Larry E. Wright.

Ruth is survived by daughter, Marian Swinson (her husband Barry); daughter, Gilda Wright; son Jack Dempsey Wright, Jr. (his wife Cindy); grandchildren, J. Scott Cook, Jatana Mitchell, Jack Dempsey Wright III, Brittany Schuck and Thomas Leigh Wright and great grandchildren, Gates Cook, Madison Cook, Junie Mae Mitchell, Essie Bea Mitchell, Finley Ann Mitchell, Kash Mitchell, Mia Schuck, Karlee Wright, Kenna Wright, Banks Wright and Abby Wright.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, June 3, 2024 in the Ashelawn Gardens Of Memory Mausoleum and will be led by Tommy Rhodes.

Groce Funeral Home’s Lake Julian team is assisting the family.
