Sara Elizabeth Dixon

A native of Atlanta, GA, Mrs. Dixon was the daughter of the late Davis Robert and Esta Lena Hudson Twyman. She was married for 64 years to Samuel Walter Dixon, who died in 1995, and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Patricia Johnson. She was a member of Starnes Cove Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Ingle of Hendersonville and Roma Tandy of Saluda; three sons, Walt Dixon of Knoxville, TN, Robert Dixon of Moultrie, GA, and Douglas Dixon of Asheville; fifteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 12:00 noon Monday at Pisgah View Memorial Park with the Rev. Charlie Sams officiating.
Her family will receive friends from 11 - 11:45 am Monday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.
