Sharon Ball Robinson

sharon robinson
Always on our minds and forever in our hearts. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sharon Ball Robinson. She earned her wings and went to be with the Lord in the early morning hours on May 4, 2018. A life-long resident of Buncombe County, she was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Roosevelt Ball, her mother, Evelyn Ruth Banks, and her step-father Derrell Ray Pettit. She was an alumnus of Enka High School and a woman of many crowns: daughter, sister, mother, nana and grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and confidant. She dedicated her life to helping others and bringing smiles to those she loved. She enjoyed reading, the sun, and visiting family. She married Danny Lynn Robinson 44 years ago, and although she may be gone she will never be forgotten, as her legacy lives on through their seven children: Danielle Blankenship, Danny Lynn Robinson, Jr., Monica Robinson, Maria Redding, Tasha D'Ascanio, Tabitha Robinson and Travis Robinson. She is also survived by 19 wonderful grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, her brother, Derrell Pettit, Jr., and many blessed friends, including her special Duckie. She can rest easy in the arms of our Savior knowing she is always on our minds and in our hearts. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Dry Pond Cemetery, Madison County. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue is assisting the family.
