Sharon “Brandy” Stephenson Burcham, 41, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025.

An Asheville native, Brandy was the daughter of Sharon Diann and Billy Dean Stephenson. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Robert Jo-William “Jo” Burcham, son, Robert Xzavior “Zane” Burcham; daughter, Sharon Xzandria “Zoe” Burcham; sister, Ashley Gunter; siblings, Jonathan Gunter, Brad Holden; aunt, Brenda Clark Rice, and uncle, Floyd Stephenson. She was a member of the Clark, Pack, and Stephenson families, and married into the Burcham and Young families.

Brandy was a devoted mother, spouse, and church member at Spring Mountain Baptist Church, Fairview. Her primary calling in life was working in early childhood education. She specifically worked in preschool/daycare at the YWCA Asheville before being put on medical disability due to seizures. She will be remembered as a friend to anyone and always put others before herself.

The memorial service is scheduled for Saturday November 15, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Spring Mountain Baptist Church, 11 Spring Mountain Rd., Fairview, NC 28730. The family invites all to stay for a meal following the service.

    I got the pleasure of getting to know her and her family, while I worked at Family Care of Fairview.
    She was such a sweet soul, and a genuine kind person.
    I’m praying for her babies and Jo during this devastating time of transition.
