Sharon Deanna Mason, 47, of Fletcher, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016.
A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of Elaine H. Mason and Mack Mason.
Sharon worked at WalMart for 26 years, having most recently served in the personnel department. She enjoyed crafts and was a lifelong member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church, where she spent many years working in the nursery taking care of children.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by one sister, Laura McDaris and her husband, Doug as well as two nieces, Lindy Sherlin and Kateland Sherlin and one nephew, Grant McDaris.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 11, 2016 at Boiling Springs Baptist Church, with Pastor Cody Sturgill officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Enka. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM on Monday at the church.
Flowers are appreciated, but for those who choose, memorial donations may be made in Sharon's name to Boiling Springs Baptist Church, PO Box 1177, Fletcher, NC 28732.
Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.

Ms.Sharon was my Sunday school teacher at boiling springs Baptist Church many years ago. Her and Mrs. Karen were always so sweet. My thoughts and prayers to Mrs. Elaine and the family.

Sharon,I don’t know what to say my heart is so broken you always tessed me about not leaving you,now you have left me and. I am so sorry about Sharon. I worked with her for 9 years at walmart 1179. She was a very sweet and kind person. Will miss seeing and talking to her when i am at walmart. My thoughts and prayers to all of the family.

So sorry to hear of Sharon’s passing. She was always such a sweet person and heaven has gained a true gem. I spent a lot of time with her at Long Shoals Baptist when we were young and then in band in highschool. Prayers of comfort and peace for her family.

I am so sorry for your loss my daughter Teresa went to girl scouts and school with Sharon. When I saw her at Walmart she talked to Teresa and me last time we saw her she was talking about her dog. She was always so nice. Prayers for the family.

I’m so very sorry for your loss. Sharon was so very kind to me at Walmart. She always helped me and I will miss her. May God’s love bring you comfort and peace through this difficult time. I will be praying for your family.
