Sharon Todd McKinney, 56, of Marion, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the Leconte Medical Center in Sevierville, TN.
A native of Buncombe Co., Sharon had resided in Black Mountain for 30 years and more recently in Marion for 10 years.
Surviving are her husband, Douglas McKinney, Sr.; daughter, Christine Roland; son, Doug McKinney, Jr. (Laura); grandchildren, Melody, Hannah, Miranda and Nathan McKinney, and Trey Roland; sisters Gail Dunn and Donna Oakes; and brother David McKinney.
A memorial service for Mrs. McKinney will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home. The Rev. Ron Brown and Mr. Douglas McKinney, Sr. will officiate.
This is my beautiful mother. I am going to miss her every day. She was the backbone of the family…I don’t know what we will do without her. I love you mama!
