Sharon Visnefski Stauffer

Sharon (Visnefski) Stauffer, a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025 at the age of 71 in Barnardsville, NC. Born on January 7, 1954 in Plymouth, PA to Alfonso and Carol Visnefski.

She is survived by her loving spouse, Bob, children, Melisa, Andrew, and Cory, grandchildren Ayden, Amanda, Corbin, and Adalyn, sisters, Jean and Gail, and nieces and a nephew. She is predeceased by her parents, Carol and Alfonso, brother, Alfonso Jr. and her son, Nelson.

She was the beloved wife of Bob, her partner in life and in laughter for 23 years. Together, they shared a quiet, enduring love built on loyalty, mutual respect, and a shared appreciation for football and dogs.

She will be remembered for her kind spirit, her fierce loyalty to those she loved, and the peaceful life she chose for herself. She didn’t need fanfare or spotlight, just Bob by her side, her dogs at her feet, and a quiet place to call home.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 30th at Groce Funeral Home, 856 Tunnel Rd., Asheville, NC 28805. The Rev. Robert Reynolds will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to a local animal shelter or rescue organization.
