Shi Y Kuai

Shi Y Kuai, 93, of Asheville, passed away on August 6, 2025, at the CarePartners Solace Center, Asheville, surrounded by his family.

Shi Y Kuai, was an oriental medical doctor in Asheville for approximately 37 years. He arrived in the United States over 39 years ago and began a successful business offering acupuncture. He was truly loved by his patients and friends.

He was married to his bride for over 65 years. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Spring Kuai and Susan Wang, Sam Kuai and Xiu Lamei, and Autumn Kuai and Yuin Zhou. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as their spouses will also greatly miss him: Linda Kuai and Ricky Rao, Ying Zhou, Le Kuai, and great-granchildren, Lucas Rao and Romeo Rao.

His family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 13, at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. The burial will then take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
