Guestbook

  1. Steve was a first class defense attorney for me when I was a Claims Adjuster with Nationwide Insurance in the 1970s and 1980s. He always had strong ethics and defended the company’s interest with style and grace. Steve also assisted me with some personal matters over the years. I always knew it was in good hands with Steve. To his family and friends, my deepest sympathy. Gerry Huntley, CPCU, AIC, ARM, Retired Nationwide Insurance Claims Department. 828-318-4013. gerryh1947@yahoo.com

  2. Steve has been my close friend for over four decades. I will miss him more than I can express. I will keep his family in my prayers and wish them peace and healing.

  3. “Krop,” as he was referred to in the legal community, will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by those who knew him best. He was known to be “quite a character“ with his own unique style of skill and wit. Everyone who knew Krop has a memorable story to tell about him. Our condolences and prayers go out to his family and closest friends.

  4. In 1987 I had a consultation with Mr. Kropelnicki and I remember him as a very kind attorney. During this two hour visit he sat with a pipe in one hand and a lighter in the other and never lit the pipe I smile every time I think of this. To his family, prayers for each of you during this difficult and sad time.

  5. Nancy and family. I am so sorry for your loss. His health was so bad when he was coming in for physical therapy. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

  6. “Krop” was one of the most keenly intellectual trial lawyers I ever had the pleasure of having as opposing counsel. In the early 1990s, at the behest of Howard Gum, Krop and 6 others of us trial lawyers formed a dinner group called “Lawyers Calling”, whereby we met for dinner once a month and discussed a chapter in a book of the same name. Thus, I was privileged to observe and hear about the spiritual side of Krop, in addition to the legal side. One of Krop’s favorite theologians was G.K. Chesteton, whom Krop quoted often. Krop will be sorely missed.

  7. Steve Kropelnicki was a devoted Christian, a true patriot and an excellent attorney. He introduced me to C.S. Lewis, shared my pride to be a citizen of North Carolina and the USA, and saved me lots of money and heartache!
He was a man of Character, Conviction and Compassion.
To his family: May you celebrate Steve’s extra ordinary life, cherish your memories and carry on his legacy.
As you mourn, I pray that God will give you comfort and grant you a peace that passes all understanding.
