Debbie, Doug, and Jack,
I was so sorry to learn of Sue’s death. What a terrific lady she was. I have fond memories of her growing up at Trinity church and of you Debbie and Doug.
Even in adulthood, your Mom always was interested in what I was doing and how me and my late wife Pris were getting along.
She and my parents were friends with her and your Dad as well as Jack for many years.
Please know that others care and share in your loss. I will lift you and yours up in prayer today and in the days ahead.
Well done, thou good and faithful servant.
Fondly,
Daren Hutchison

Doug – My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. Your mom has had a special place in my heart for a long time both with my connection to her at Trinity UMC and with the bond she and my mom made when they went through cancer at the same time. Sue was a dear and was so loved and will be missed.
DOUG, DEBBIE AND JACK,
I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT SUE. I LOVED HER SO MUCH. SHE WAS ONE OF MY FAVORITE CAMPING BUDDIES AND THE FISH FRIES MY GOODNESS! SHE WAS TRUELY A GREAT WOMAN. I CAN SEE HER SITTING BY THE CAMP FIRE TELLING STORIES WITH JAMES AND MARY KATE FINCH, BOB AND MARY LEWIS AND ALL THE FELLOW CAMPERS THAT HAVE PASSED ON. I LONG FOR THE DAY I CAN TAKE MY SEAT NEXT TO THEM BY THE CAMP FIRE. MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH ALL YOUR FAMILY DURING THIS TIME OF LOSS.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL,
JIM LEWIS AND FAMILY
Debby, Doug, and Jack,
What a beautiful photo — but it can’t come close to capturing the ball of sunshine that was your mom (and sweetheart and grandmother). I’m going to miss her so much. She always made me feel as if I were the most clever, sympathetic, and charming person she’d ever met, when in fact that’s what she was. I can see her smiling and nodding, ‘Uh-huh… Uh-huh… Is that right?’ as if she had all night to listen to my story about the dog eating the box of kleenex. But nothing could beat her Dixie imitations. (Except maybe Debby’s Dixie imitations!) And her thoughtfulness and many kindnesses to others. I’m so sorry I couldn’t come to Asheville to say goodbye — to someone I liked to call my second mom (the one who in 1966 loved the Beatles as much as I did!). She’ll always be in my heart. Love, love, love.
Doug-
Sorry to read about your mom.
You’re in our prayers.
