Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. JUDY, I HAVE MANY GOOD MEMORIES OF YOUR MOTHER AND ALSO YOUR DADDY. YOUR MOTHER ALWAYS MADE ME FEEL AT HOME EACH AND EVERY TIME I VISITED THERE, AND THAT WAS ALMOST EVERY DAY. I WILL NEVER FORGET THE TIME THEY ASK ME TO GO TO FLORIDA ON VACATION, THAT WAS MY FIRST TIME TO SEE THE OCEAN, WHAT A WONDERFUL TIME I HAD. I ALSO REMEMBER MY FIRST AIRPLANE RIDE, YOUR MOTHER AND DADDY TOOK US TO THE OLD AIRPORT AND WE WENT UP IN A PIPER CUB. DO YOU STILL HAVE THE NAIL PRINTS IN YOUR HAND THAT I LEFT THERE? I COULD GO ON AND ON BUT I WILL SAVE THAT FOR ANOTHER DAY. LOVE, MARY FRANCES AND LARRY SENDS HIS LOVE ALSO.

  2. Dear Judy and Family,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this trying time.

In the last few days two great ladies of West Asheville Baptist Church have gone to be with the Lord. Your Mom and Lottie Robinson-Pierce.

I have fond memories of your Mom during our ‘young’ years at West Asheville Baptist. I remember her taking us places before we could drive.

I often think of the trips to Caswell that you, Mary Frances, Pat, Janice and I, made with the youth choir of the church.

Please know and remember that you and the family are in my prayers.

  3. Judy, and Charles,
Ned and I wish you and your family peace and comfort during this time of your Mother’s passing. I remember Mrs. Lance as always gracious to my mother and loved ones. Her kindness to me as a young woman and Roy’s kindness to Ned when he was a young ambulance driver in West Asheville will always be appreciated by us. From my perspective, both Mr. and Mrs. Lance contributed to making West Asheville a wonderful place in which to grow up and live in the 1950 and 60’s. Your faithfulness to your Mother’s welfare is a wonderful example to all.
    Love,
    Rebecca and Ned Allison
