Theodra DeLizza

Theodra DeLizza, 95, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at her residence. A native of N. Wilkesboro, she was the daughter of the late William and Vera Pilkenton and wife of the late Dominic DeLizza. She also was preceded in death by three brothers, Clancy, Fitzhugh and Sherrill Pilkenton. Mrs. DeLizza was a longtime member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Felthaus and her husband, Tony, of Mt. Pleasant, SC and their children, Jonathan Felthaus (Heather) and Ellen Forbes (David); two sons, David DeLizza of Asheville and his four children, Giovina (Kevin), Nicholas (Katie), Michael and Celia; and D.P. "Buddy" DeLizza, II and his wife, Patricia, of Concord and their three children, Julie, Katie and Dominic P., III and four great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 until 1:30 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Enka. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, 750 Haywood Road, Asheville, NC 28806. Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.
