Thomas "Tommy" Sterling Greenwood, of Arden, died unexpectedly from an illness on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at the St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of San Diego County, CA, he was a son of Brian J. and Carolyn Farr Greenwood. Tommy was a 2000 graduate of Roberson High School and a 2004 graduate of UNCA. He was an Eagle Scout, passionate about his dogs, and for the past five years, worked as a video editor at WLOS. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother, Kevin Swain and his wife, Zayne, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL as well as nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. The family will receive friends from 4:00-6:00 PM on Sunday, September 8, 2013 in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian. In lieu of flowers, the family graciously asks that you please consider a memorial contribution in Tommy's memory to Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, 31 Glendale Avenue, Asheville, NC 28803 or at www.bwar.org.
