Tina Boyd Thompson, age 57, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Friday, December 22, 2017. A native of Buncombe Co. but resided in Haywood Co., Tina was born January 9, 1960. She was the daughter of Shirley Keyes and her father, the late Bobby Boyd. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Thompson, brother, Roger Boyd, and grandparents, Herman and Eva Howell and Marie Boyd. Tina was a graduate of North Buncombe High School, and she worked as a beautician. Surviving are her mother, Shirley and step-father Howard Keyes; brothers, Randy, Rickey, Reggie, and Billy Boyd; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Even though she didn't have children of her own, she loved everyone else's. Graveside services will be held at the Lunsford Cemetery on Mag Sluder Rd. in Alexander on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave. is assisting the family.
