Trinkett Lorraine Bocook

trinkett bocook
Trinkett Lorraine Bocook, 52, a life long native of Asheville, passed on to her next great journey in Heaven on February 7, 2013, to be with her beloved father, James Fulton Bocook, who predeceased her in September of 2011. Trinkett Lorraine, as we called her, was a wonderful artist. She attended UNCA to study art. Her favorite activity however was being with her family on picnics, beach trips, fishing trips and camping trips. Where there was water and family Trinkett was happiest. She is survived by her mother, Jaimee Bonham Thompson, who cared for her with unconditional and unwavering love throughout her life. She is also survived by her sister, Deborah Bocook Hall and husband Allan and their children, McLean and Conner Hall, and by her brother, Scott Bonham Bocook and his wife Ginger and their children, Breanna, Josh, and Kayla. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Ave., with the Rev. Donald N. Welborn officiating. Graveside will follow at Green Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made payable to The National Society of Multiple Sclerosis, PO Box 4527, New York, NY 10163.

  6. Trinkett…many years since I have seen her. She always held a sweet spot in my heart as I was enamored with her as a young boy and school mate. My sympathies to the Bocook family. I wish peace for you all.

  7. Mrs. Thompson (Moo), Debbie and Scott,

So sorry to hear about Trinkett, she was a very good friend to me. She was also a very great person. I know she’s in heaven with her father and my son William. God bless you all.

  9. Jaime, Debbie and Scott, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. It has been a long time since I last saw her. Trinkett made a huge impact in my life and I would think of her often.
I stumbled across her obituary tonight and was shocked to read that she was gone. All of you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

  10. Jaime & Deb,
Just came across this, and although not timely, wanted to convey my sympathy.
“The good, they die young” … We lost Susan (who was Trinkett’s age) about the same time, and Linda a year earlier.

I have such happy memories of hanging out with y’all “contemplating” on the river, at the waterfall in Canton, at the beach & at Jaimie’s (while she never stopped cooking & sweeping:)

    Much love,
    Brulita
