Fletcher – Vera Plaskon Cheben, 73, of Fletcher, died Friday, October 29, 2004.
Mrs. Cheben was a native of Olophant, PA, a former resident of Union, NJ and a resident of Fletcher for 14 years.
She was a member of the Skyland United Methodist Church where she was active in the Womens Circle and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Azure Lodge #87 in Cranford, NJ.
She is survived by her husband, Karl Cheben; two sons, Mark Cheben, his wife Cindy and their sons, Graham and Landon, of Loveland, Ohio and Scot Cheben, his wife Debbie and their sons Blake and Zachary of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; a sister, Mary McGee and a brother, Alex Plaskon.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian conducted by the Revs. Arnie Corriher and Christy Sharp.
Mrs. Cheben’s family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:30 pm Monday at the funeral home on Long Shoals Road.
