Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Yesterday afternoon we lost a great man. He was the best Papaw and Dad to all of us. He loved his kids, grandkids, and great grand kids so much.

Papaw was a gentle soul with plenty of fire. He loved cars and had an expensive taste for cars. He also would never go to Hardee’s without a coupon. We all know how he felt about politics and elections.

It was very unexpected that yesterday would be his last day with us. Friday he was kicking ball with my kids. Saturday he was out looking for a faster side by side to ride in the woods and Sunday he enjoyed a trip to the farmers market.

We will all miss this sweet man so much. Please keep Ruby in your prayers as she learns how to live without him. Keep Mom and Sue in your prayers as they learn to live without their Daddy. Keep the rest of us in your prayers as well.

I’m sure he’s already burning the tires off a fast car in heaven.

  2. Sandra and family,
Jack and I are so very sorry to hear of Verlon’s passing. We keep you all in our thoughts in the coming days and weeks and will send lots of love your way.

  10. Ruby, Sandra and Susan, I was so sorry to hear about “Uncle” Verlon’s passing. I got big kick out of teasing him. He’d always have big grin for me and a twinkle in his eye. I believe he’d start laughing before I ever got in the door. I miss my Uncle LG so much I adopted “Uncle” Verlon. He was last link to Uncle LG, who was like a father to me. I will miss him and I thank him everyday for helping me.
    As always,
I am yours truly, with much love to you

Vick and I are so very sorry for your loss. We pray that God will comfort all of you. I don’t think I ever met your father (Vick may have) but he certainly raised a wonderful, kind and thoughtful daughter. So that being said I bet he was a sweetheart also! I’m sure he will be missed but forever in your hearts. God bless all of you and give you peace. Love, your friends, Vick and Elsie.
