  5. To the Sharp Family, Barbara, Brenda and all the rest of the loved ones:
I want to express my deepest condolences on the loss of Vernon. I first got to know him when he ran for County Commissioner and during other candidates’ races when he proved to be an excellent friend, supporter and counselor. I was proud, too, of our shared military service. Vernon was a wonderful man and will be greatly missed! I ask for GOD’s peace, which passes all understanding, to be with you during the time of loss! And please forgive me for not being more helpful to you at this time, since I didn’t learn of his passing until this afternoon. GOD bless!!!! – (Former) State Representative Mark Crawford
