VIRGINIA W. WRIGHT
Virginia Louise Williams Wright, 86, of 484 Emmas Grove Road, Fletcher, died Friday, October 26, 2001, at a local hospital.
A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Bascom and Florence Grant Williams and was married to the late Lehmon A. Wright, Sr.
She was a loving mother and mamaw and is survived by one son, Lehmon “Bud” Wright, Jr. of Fairview; two daughters, Carolyn Presley and Jo Ann Creson both of Fairview; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday at Emmas Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Norris Wright, Todd Royal and H. L. Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7:00-8:30 pm Monday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian, 72 Long Shoals Road, where Mrs. Wright will remain until being placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to the VA Medical Center, Asheville, NC 28805 for the care of crippled veterans.
