Vivian Creasman Rogers, 70, of 8 Spring Drive, Asheville, died Saturday, May 26, 2007, at her home.
A native of Henderson County, she was a daughter of James Calvin Creasman of Swannanoa and the late Irene Flynn Creasman. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
In addition to her father, Mrs. Rogers is survived by her husband of 52 years, The Rev. Robert Lloyd Rogers, Sr.; four daughters, Jacqueline Ray and husband Michael of Asheville, Rose Shetley and husband Ricky of Leicester, Revonda Hill and husband Chris of Tennessee and Mary Cody of Alabama; one son, Robert Lloyd Rogers, Jr. and wife Keawaunee of Candler; three sisters, Dorothy Jones of Swannanoa, Joan Robbins of Candler and Lillian Keefer of South Carolina; eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hills Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service and request that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to John F. Keever Hospice Solace Center, PO Box 25338, Asheville, NC 28813.
You and papa are together now. Ill see you one day. You were such an influence on my life Im not sure how Ill get over it, but I love you so much.
Hey Nanny! I know you arent reading this, and anyone who is reading this probably thinks im some kind of weirdo, but I love you, and I hope you and papa are having fun up there in Heaven. I love you.
