Vivian Warren Miller, 71, of 39 Leslie Miller Drive, Candler, died Thursday, June 15, 2000, in an Asheville hospital.

Mrs. Miller was born in Buncombe County and was a daughter of the late Alton and Jessie Rogers Warren. She was a retired private duty CNA and was a member of Piney Mountain United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by a son, Marvin Leslie Miller and a daughter, Mary Ann Miller.

Surviving are her husband, Benjamin Franklin Miller; two daughters, Wanda Baird and Marie Rice; a son, Frank Miller of Candler; a sister, Elsie Owenby of Candler; three brothers, Rufus, Ralph and Bud Warren of Candler; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Sunday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. H.D. Houck officiating. Burial will be at Piney Mountain United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Marty Baird, Marvin Miller, Charlie Rice, Lynn Lawing, Scott Jackson and Jason Smith.Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Saturday at the funeral home and request that memorials be made to Piney Mountain United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.
