Wade Bailey Plemmons, 86, of 455 Victoria Road, Asheville, went to be with his Lord on Friday, November 28, 2003.
A native of Madison County, he was a son of the late Solomon and Dovie Plemmons and was also preceded in death by his wife, Nanny Wooten Plemmons; a sister, Geneva Shelton; two brothers, Rev. Vinson E. Plemmons and James Plemmons. Mr. Plemmons was retired from Riverside Cemetery and was also a farmer. He was a Christian man and dedicated member of Sunrise Baptist Church.
Mr. Plemmons is survived by a brother-in-law, Claude Shelton of Asheville; nieces and nephews, Dillard Plemmons and Mary Dell Clark, both of Asheville and Lorene Wood, Sue Sharpe, Darlene Rogers, Ed Shelton and Earl Shelton, all of Waynesville.
Funeral services will be 3:00 pm Sunday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Reverend Bill Higgins officiating. Burial will follow at Lewis Memorial Park. His family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 pm Sunday prior to the service and request that memorials be made to Sunrise Baptist Church, 419 Deaverview Road, Asheville, NC 28806 or Magnolia Health Care Center, 455 Victoria Road, Asheville, NC 28801.

did not have a smile,a handshake and a kind word.
We know that Wade is in the presence of the Lord now, whom he loved so dearly.
