Warren D. "W.D." Worley, 79, of Asheville, died Friday, October 23, 2015, at his residence.
A native of Marshall, Mr. Worley was a son of the late Ernest Edgar and Jessie Ball Worley.
Mr. Worley was a retired police officer with the Asheville City Police Department. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of the Biltmore Masonic Lodge #446 and of Scottish Rite Valley of Asheville.
Mr. Worley is survived by his wife Fannie Mitchell Worley; daughter, Cheryl Worley Mears (Jerry Mears); son, Jeff Worley (Cyndi Perry); and grandson, Mitchell Mears.
A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Worley will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Westwood Faith Baptist Church, 151 Westwood Place, Asheville, NC 28806, with Pastor Richard Baird and the Rev. Ron Brown officiating. Masonic rites will be performed to conclude the service.
His family will receive friends at the church following the service.

Lots of love and prayers to you Jeff and Fannie. Such an awesome man. He has known me since i was 17 yrs old. Always made me laugh. Last time i seen him i was so thankful to let him know how i was blessed to have had him as a friend and i loved him.
