Wayne Terry, 65, of Asheville, died on Sunday, February 15, 2009, at Memorial Campus Mission Hospitals.
Mr. Terry was a son of Helen Blackwell Terry George, of Danville, VA and of the late Chiswell Dabney Terry.
Mr. Terry had worked as a Vice President at A.B. Burton Construction Co. before starting his own company, Terry Enterprises. He was a member of the Elk Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Libby Gillespie Terry; daughter, Lisa Terry Foley and husband Phillip, of Charlotte; sons, Chiswell Wayne Terry, Jr. and wife Robbyn, of Lenoir, and Kenneth Keener and wife Jamie, of Asheville; brother, Mark Terry, of Asheville; niece, Christi Terry; nephew, Cody Terry, and eight grandchildren.
A memorial service for Mr. Terry will be at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Ave. with Pastor Jed Douglas officiating.
His family will receive friends following the service.

Our lives are blessed because of Wayne Terry. Wayne was a smart, talented man with a kind heart and a passion for living and loving life to the fullest. He had the uniquely gifted ability to make you feel special under any circumstances. We will miss him greatly, but will cherish our wonderful memories forever.
We loved Wayne and will never forget his friendship; please know we love you and are here for you, always.
