William Robert Wheeler

WILLIAM ROBERT WHEELER William Robert Wheeler, 86, of 1180 Bear Creek Rd., Leicester, died on Sunday, November 30, 2008, at Pisgah Manor Health Care Center. A native of Buford, GA, Mr. Wheeler was a son of the late Grady and Lula Davis Wheeler. He was also preceded in death by his son, Gregory Wheeler, who died in 1971; his step-son, Brent Bunch, who died in 1994; and sisters, Rosa Lee Barrett, and Dean Hill. Mr. Wheeler retired from Spitzley-Rhitmire Plumbing and Heating in 1982. He was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. Mr. Wheeler is survived by his wife of 50 years, Shirley Sluder Wheeler; sister, Grace Naomi Dollar, of Suwanee, GA; brothers, Roy and Ray Wheeler, both of Buford, GA; and nephew, Douglas Sluder. A funeral service for Mr. Wheeler will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Ave. with the Rev. Anthony Fox officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery.
