William Simpson Rogers

WILLIAM S. ROGERS William S. Rogers, 88, of Kennerly Avenue, Fletcher, died Wednesday, October 18, 2000. A native of Charlotte, NC, he was a son of the late Ed and Lula Caldwell Rogers. He was married to the late Kathleen Pennington Rogers who died in 1997. He was also preceded in death by a son, James E. Rogers, two sisters and two brothers. He was retired from General Electric. Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Conley and her husband, Robert of Candler; a step-son, Joe Smith of Dallas, TX; two step-daughters, Marian Smith of Oak Hill, WV and Connie Osteen of Etowah; two sisters, Irene Jenkins of Dana and Bert Porter of Kansas City, MO; four grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Graveside services will be 1:00 pm Saturday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hendersonville with the Reverend Don Welborn officiating. The family will be at the home of Shirley Conley, 156 Homestead Road, Candler. Special thanks to Judy Kuykendall and Fleschers Fairview Health Care Center.
