Yvonne McGee Montgomery, 77, passed away peacefully into eternal life on November 9, 2015, at Hospice-Solace Center in Asheville, NC. She was also blessed with eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces and nephews throughout the country. Ms. Montgomery worked as the activities director for Highland Farms Retirement center until she retired. She loved her church at First Baptist, Swannanoa, and had many friends there. Her passions included gardening, healthy eating, playing the piano, loving on her three cats, and researching family history and medical advances via Google. But her best passion was reading her Bible, interceding for others as a prayer warrior and daily praising God. The family wishes to express gratitude to the caregivers at Hospice-Solace, 8th floor St. Joseph's Hospital, Meals-on-Wheels volunteers, care partners, and Blue Ridge Pharmacy. A Celebration of Life will be held at First Baptist, Swannanoa, on November 15.
