Zetta Roberts Barnett

Fairview ~ Zetta Roberts Barnett, 87, went Home on Tuesday, May 15. A native of Madison County, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Gleftie Worley Roberts. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clyde, who died in 2011, a grandson, Scott Barnett, as well as a brother, Dean Roberts. Zetta loved her Lord, her husband, family and Sunday School class at Trinity of Fairview Baptist Church, where she was a longtime member. She could think of no better way to spend her time than being outside in her garden, working in her yard and just spending time enjoying the beauty of God’s creation. She is survived by her son. Terry Barnett (Beth), of Asheville; one grandson, Michael Barnett of Turnwater, WA; three brothers, L.D. Roberts (Ann) and Ronal Roberts (Doris), all of Big Pine, NC and Roger Roberts (Betty) of Weaverville, as well as several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Trinity of Fairview Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Stacey Harris. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00-11:00 AM on Saturday. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, May 21 at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family graciously asks that contributions be made in Zetta’s memory to Trinity of Fairview Baptist Church, 646 Concord Road, Fletcher, NC 28732. Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.
