I am deeply saddened by Dalton’s passing. He was a fine man, devoted husband and father and a good friend. I visited him for years at Helen’s house and will miss him very much. My deepest sympathy to all his fine family. Alice Cella
Mark I’m so sorry for your loss. I have nothing to offer you for your pain except my prayers, friendship and my love. You were there for me when we lost Andrew and I wish I could be there for you now. Please know we love you and we are here for you. God Bless!!
I have very fond memories of Gaston. His beautiful voice, his friendly manner, and the times we sang together. We were in the same church choir and sang several duets together…’Devine Redeemer’ was one that we were asked to repeat several times. We were always good friends. It is really strange that I got this news, I , for some reason, was just remembering that he used to sing while driving. When I lived in Asheville on Clinton ave, we had no air conditioning and slept with the windows open. I remember hearing Gaston singing on night after I had gone to bed and figured out he was driving on a main street (think it was Haywood! don’t remember the name) and I heard him hitting some of the high notes he was known for. What a nice man…Can’t believe I was just recently thinking of him…a little scary but interesting.
