Ada Roberts Grindstaff, 81, formerly of Leicester and of Asheville Terrace Apartments, died Saturday, October 18, 2003, at Beverly Health Care, Hendersonville.
Mrs. Grindstaff was born in Madison County and was a daughter of the late Garrett Bunyon and Zona Bishop Roberts. She was married to the late Albert Grindstaff.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Jim Smith of Old Fort; a grandson, Doug Smith and his wife Jari of Asheville; a step-grandson, James Smith of Florida; three sisters, Vergie Roberts of Asheville, Fleta Wells of Leicester and Alma Teague of Brevard; and two brothers, Hubert and Raymond Roberts of Leicester.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Tuesday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Roberts officiating. Burial will be at Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
Her family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 pm Monday at the funeral home and request that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to Four Seasons Hospice, PO Box 2395, Hendersonville, NC 28793.
