Ada Sams, 97, of Arden, died Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the Oaks of Sweeten Creek. A native of Madison County, she was a daughter of the late Grover and Polly Price Edmonds. Ada was also preceded in death by her husband Wayne Sams as well as a son, Lloyd Sams. She is survived by a daughter, Kathy Sams Olvida (Philip) of Asheville as well as four grandchildren and three great-grandsons. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Elk Mtn. Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian.

My precious Aunt Ada.I loved you with all of my heart and I thank God for having you In my life.Rest In Heavenly Peace and tell all the rest of the family I love and miss them very much.I will never forget you Ada.You made It all the way to 97 years old and I know you would be very proud of that..Im proud of you.I hope to see you In Heaven someday.Until then rest In peace.I loved you a lot.
