Albert Eugene Spencer, Jr., 60, of 20 Windy Hills Mobile Home Park, Asheville, died Saturday, January 11, 2003, at a local hospital. He was a truck driver for Scott Banks for 20 years and is survived by his wife, Frances Lee Sims Spencer. There will be a gathering of family and friends at 4:00 pm Tuesday at Groce Funeral Home on Patton Avenue.

  14. Talking to Gene at work about our girls, (Anna and Morgan)was something I looked forward to. His whole face changed and lit up when he talked about Anna. It was obvious nothing touched his heart more than to have someone so precious in his life. We were always greeted with a kind word from Gene.Our family keeps your family in our prayers. He loved you all so much. Gene rests safely in the arms of God now. It is our hope you take comfort in this.
