Albert Walker

Albert Walker, 90, of Asheville, died Saturday, Jan 8, in an Asheville hospital. Mr. Walker was born in England and was a son of the late Edward and Sarah Walker. He was married to Sarah Holden Walker who died in 1974 and was a self employed plasterer. He was a singer with a troubadour group and was a member of St. George’s Episcopal Church. He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Hall of Leicester and Sheila Church of Arden; five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Graveside services will be 1:00pm Tuesday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Fr. Harry Woggon officiating. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30pm Monday at Groce Funeral Home, Lake Julian, 72 Long Shoals Road, Arden.
