Delma, Allan & family. News of Alfred’s passing just got to me here on the coast. Delma as you know I was around when you and Alfred first started dating (a long time indeed) and I have fond memories of that Z-28 of his and that gold Chevy pickup that he took such care to keep clean even when go-cart racing. My thoughts are with all of you at this time.
Delma, Josh, & Jacob-
Just wanted to let you know you are in our thought and prayers.
Sincerely- Carol & David Hicks

It is so hard to imagine not seeing our Alfred for a while. It was always a blessing seeing that glow of true Christianity that constantly shone from him, in our church and everywhere he went. We are gonna miss him so much. But we are rejoicing that he is whole once again, forevermore, and that he is receiving the rewards in Heaven that he so greatly deserves for being such a wonderful example for Christ.
Delma, Josh, & Jake, you are a very special family and you know you are being lifted up to the Lord by so many people who love you guys very much. We are all here for you, as always. Love Julie, Matthew, Angel, Jeff & Tyler
There aren’t enough words to express what a blessing Alfred was and always will be to our family. Never have you or will you ever hear anyone speak of anything but kindness, love and admiration when speaking of him. We feel so honored and blessed to have been a part of his life. We love you all and are praying for you.

Delma, Josh, Jake….I worked with Al for many years at Progress Energy and he was always smiling. You could always get a joke or laugh out of him. We used to kid about his summer hair cuts (shaved) and he always had something to come back with. Those memories will never be forgotten. Each time I think of him I smile….
