Alice Dorothy Biddix, 90, of Asheville, died Wednesday, June 5, 2012, at the Laurels of Summit Ridge.
Born in Augusta, GA, to the late Lonnie and Savannah Connell Eubanks, Alice was a textile worker and a member of Gashes Creek Baptist Church.
Alice is survived by her daughter, Marian Putnam of Asheville and two granddaughters, Angela and Wendy.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Rd. with the Rev. Powell Young officiating.

I am so sorry to hear of Alice’s death. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family, especially Angie and Jazmine. She was an asset to our community.
Jaz, I am so very sorry about Alice. I knew her for a long time, and my mother grew up with her. I definitely will keep you and your mom in my thoughts and prayers, and ask for peace in your lives. I know you will miss your ‘Nanny’, but she is in a better place now, free of pain and discomfort. She lived a long and good life. I love you!
