Alvin Ray Clement, 56, of Burrell Lane, Candler, died on Friday, January 1, 2010, at Memorial Campus, Mission Hospitals.
A native of Buncombe Co., Mr. Clement was a son of the late Mitchell Winfield and Julia Burrell Clement. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Harold and Albert Clement.
Mr. Clement was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
He is survived by his sisters, Mary Hughes, of Asheville, Roselyn Stauffer, of Candler, and Linda Bishop, of Fletcher; brothers, Larry Clement, and Perry Clement, both of Candler; and several loved nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday in the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Ave. with the Rev. Jackie Collins officiating. His family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
