MY HEART AND LOVE TO ALL THE FAMILY AT THIS TIME. SUCH A SWEET MAN AND A PLEASURE TO KNOW.
Dear Johnny and Inez (and the rest of the family)
I have many beautiful pictures of the times that we visited them at their beautiful home in Oteen.
I even have one with my kids (young) Gary Ronnie and I when Dad was still alive, the pic was taken on that big chair on their porch.
His (and Aunt Helens) beautiful smiles will remain in my heart always. I can still taste the wonderful vegetables, fresh from their garden and how lovingly they were prepared.
After Aunt Helen got where she could not get around much, Uncle Amos took care of her, the cooking and the cleaning. (When they made him the mold was broken).
I loved him dearly and Aunt Helen, and enjoyed the visit I had with them in the fall of 2001.
My prayers will be with you and my thoughts right there with you, as if I was there, when you have your services Monday at 11:00 am.
God Bless the whole family and try to have a Wonderful and blessed New Year. My mother sends her thoughts and sorrow also.
Love,
Terrie

Dear Aunt Helen, Inez and Johnny,
We send our deepest sympathy to you as you face life without your loved one.
I like to recall the good times with Uncle Amos’s infectious laugh and the time he came to the family home on election day in overalls, shotgun in hand to ‘protect his candidate’, Eisenhower against Stevenson for the Presidency. Grandmother was raising a couple of hogs scheduled for slaughter that November. Uncle Amos and my Mom had playfully named the hogs after the candidates. We had some good times.
May you find comfort from our loving God and hope for tomorrow in His Promises to us.
Sincerely,
Lynette and Bill Ames
