Andrew J. Sharp

July 7, 1932 ~ July 15, 1998

Funeral services for Andy Sharp will be at 11:00 am Saturday, July 18, in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home. The Revs. Bill Gillespie, Charles Phillips, and Jake Fender will officiate, with burial to follow at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery.

Andy was born in Leicester and was a son of the late James Wesley Sharp and Hermie Belle Ledbetter Sharp. HE was an Air Force veteran and a member of VFW Post 891. He was a watchmaker.

He is survived by his wife, Esther Mary Barton Sharp; a daughter, Debbie Sharp Robertsd; two sons, Dale Andy Sharp and Terry James Sharp, and a granddaughter, Crystal Sharp.

Andy wrote:'My life on earth is but a span and so I'll do the best I can. Each day I'll do a golden deed by helping those who are in need. I'll try to turn the night to day and make the flowers bloom along the way. Life's evening sun is sinking low, and in the kingdom the 'son' will glow.'
