Anne Kenney Cooke

Anne Elizabeth Cooke, 75, Asheville, died Thursday, September 3, 2009, at her home. Born in Chicago, IL, a daughter of the late Claude and Mabel Keeney, she was preceded in death by her son, James Edward. Mrs. Cooke formerly provided child care in her home. She was past president of the Junior Womens’ Club of Country Club Hills, IL and a life member of the Illinois VFW Auxiliary Post 4241. She is survived by her husband, Sidney F. Cooke, Jr.; daughter, Cynthia Alleman; two sons, Thomas and Andrew; brother, John Keeney and five grandchildren. Graveside services were at Oakwood Cemetery, Lyon Township, Roscommon County, MI.
