Arden – Annie Mae Praytor Hudson, 96, of Old Shoals Road, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2013. A native of Henderson County, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Camie Mahaffey Praytor and wife of the late Rev. John Howard Hudson. She also was preceded in death by five children, Mary Sue McMinn, Robbie Ball and David, Woodfin and John Hudson as well as seven brothers and four sisters. She was a member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church and a retired thirty-five year employee of Lutheridge. She is survived by seven children, Jetta Hill (Carl), of Winston Salem, Evelyn Davis, Judy Jackson (Harry), both of Arden, Danny Hudson (JoAnn) of Hendersonville, Ray Hudson (Virginia), Odell Hudson (Lois) and Jackie Hudson all of Arden. She is also survived by a brother, Paul Praytor (Margaret) of Asheville, twenty-one grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and twenty-seven great great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 10 am Friday in the chapel of Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian conducted by the Rev. Jimmy Taylor. Interment will follow in Shepherd Memorial Park and the family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.   6. We remember Annie Mae fondly at Lutheridge. She made us feel welcome when we arrived in 1994 with three small children to be the program directors here.
