Annie S. Whittenburg

Mrs. Wintenburg was born in Toronto, Canada, and was a daughter of the late Joseph Michael and Winifred Irene Spellman.  She was an Army veteran of WW II and was married to the late Vincel John Wintenburg.  She was also preceded
in death by a son, Dallas Wintenburg and by two brothers, Charles and Walter Spellman.

She is survived by a daughter, Wendy C. Harrington;  a
son, William G. Wintenburg;  four grandchildren, David, Rachel and Emily Wintenburg and John Abbott; four sisters, Sister Denise de St. Andre’ of Totowa, NJ, and Rita Duvall, Catherine Cowart, and Dorothy Ballard of Madison, FL.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Monday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home, Asheville, with the Rev. Steve Harris officiating.  Burial will be in the WNC State Veterans Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
