Anthony Carroll Stokes, 62 passed away peacefully on March 4, 2024, in Hendersonville, NC.
He was born on November 14, 1961 in Greenville, SC. He was a resident of Candler, NC. Anthony graduated Enka High School in 1980 and furthered his education at Clemson University, UNCA, Atlanta College of Art, and AB-Tech. Anthony had a tremendous love for art, music, and photography. Anthony spent his career as Garde Chef at Grove Park Inn and his later years as a Web-Developer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carroll Douglas and Janice Heller Stokes and grandson Brennen. He is survived by his daughter Tiffany Kaufman; grandchildren Pricilla, Anna, and Belle; his brothers Stephen D. Stokes, Jonathan L. Stokes; sister in law Jill Stokes, three nieces, one nephew,as well as great nieces and great nephew.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life from 5:00 until 7:00 PM on Thursday, March 7 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian in Arden.
