Anthony Michael Graziano

Anthony Michael “Tony” Graziano, 93, of Asheville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 29, 2018, at the North Carolina State Veterans Home, in Black Mountain. Tony was born April 27, 1924, in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Nunzio and Josephine (Mirabella) Graziano. He was the husband of the late Caroline (Tavares) Graziano, to whom he was married for 60 years. She died in July, 2009. He was also preceded in death by a son, Anthony, and a grandson, Wyatt Graziano. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, having served on the USS Prince William from 1943-1946. Tony is survived by his children: Jo-Ann Epstein and husband Philip, of Boca Raton, FL; John Graziano and wife Stacy, of Magnolia, TX, and Caroline Francis, of Asheville: 6 grandchildren: Justin Epstein and wife Kara, of Brookhaven, GA; Matthew Epstein and Emily Ann Little, of Chelsea, NYC; Andrew and Emma Graziano of Magnolia, TX; Jobye Hearne and husband David, of VA; and Dusty Garcia and husband Manuel, of Asheville; and 3 great-grandchildren: Scarlet and Onyx Hearne and Elias Garcia. The family would like to thank all the employees at NCSVH that made this his home; we are forever grateful for their compassion. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2018, at Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Road. Friends will be received one-half hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be private in Garden Park, Houston, TX. Groce Funeral Home on Tunnel Road is assisting the family.
