Arthur Woodrow Babb, 100, of Arden, passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2016.
A native of Danville, VA, he was a son of the late Homer and Della Green Babb. He was also preceded in death by three sons, Stanley, Larry and Arthur Babb, Jr., several siblings and his first wife, Lois Babb, who passed away in 1987.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Moore Babb; three daughters-in-law, Helen, Carolyn and Martha, as well as numerous others over eight generations of the Babb, Alexander and Morrison families.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at The Kingdom Hall Of Jehovah's Witnesses, 25 Forest Lake Drive, Asheville NC, 28803 with Minister Cliff Dunn officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:30-4:00 PM on Saturday at the Kingdom Hall.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 12, 2016 at Green Hills Cemetery.
Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian is assisting the family.

My name is Sabrina Babb McAuley. My papaw was Alfred Henry Babb. My dad, John Babb, loved uncle Arthur. I know there was a falling out between the siblings ( Otis. And our papaws), but I fondly remember uncle Arthur’s visits.as a kid.
Being the wife, for 25 years, of Stanley R. Babb, don’t understand why I’m just now finding out when Papa Babb passed.
