Astor F. 'Shorty' Soesbee, Sr., 83, of 24 Yale
Ave., Asheville, died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 1998.
A native of Buncombe County, he was the son
of the late G.W. and Annie Sams Soesbee. He
was a retired sheet metal mechanic.
He is survived by his wife, Addie Warren
Soesbee; daughter, Vinita Heise of Leicester;
son, Bud Soesbee of Candler; two brothers,
Richard E. Soesbee and Roy J. Soesbee of
Asheville; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-
grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 2 pm Thursday in
Forest Lawn Memorial Park conducted by the
Rev. Enoch Ball.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 pm Wednesday at Groce Funeral Home.
