Ava Jean Gosnell

Ava Jean Kerr Gosnell, 58, formerly of Asheville, died Tuesday, June 22, 2004, at her home in Titusville, FL. Mrs. Gosnell was born in Beaufort, SC, and was a daughter of the late Emory Jennings and Lillie Bell Kerr. She moved with her family to Asheville when she was a child. She is survived by her husband, James E. Gosnell; three sons, Bennie Bishop of Titusville, and Ronnie Bishop and Phil Bishop of Asheville; two step-daughters, Sherry Meadows of Asheville and Sandra Gosnell of Candler; two sisters, Mabel Biddix and Mary Robinson of Asheville; a brother, Joe Kerr of St. Charles, MO and seven grandchildren. A funeral service will be at 6:00 p.m. Saturday in the Patton Avenue chapel of Groce Funeral Home with the Rev. James Woodrow officiating. Her family will greet friends immediately following the service.
